This opportunity is to join an established Aerodynamics function and work with some of the best minds in the industry. You will have direct influence on our design process and be a part of our exciting growth plan.


The Aerodynamics Lead Engineer is responsible for leading the development of all aspects of the external aerodynamic performance of one or more Jaguar Land Rover vehicles.  You will work closely with the Design team to bring to life their creative vision in a way that supports the efficiency needs of our customers. 




As an Aerodynamics Lead Engineer you are expected to have demonstrable experience in Aerodynamics preferably in an Automotive setting. You should have experience leading projects technically and able to recommend design changes to ensure our customers achieve the range and efficiency they require in their vehicles.


You should feel comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders and have a proven ability to influence. Experience with wind tunnel testing or conducting CFD analyses will be seen as highly desirable. The ideal candidate would have proven experience of Lift and Drag development within the automotive sector, with knowledge of Aero-Acoustics and Water and Dirt Management being desirable.


 Knowledge, Skills and Experience



  • Strong technical background, with proven experience of vehicle (ideally passenger car) aerodynamic development is essential.
  • Good project management skills and the ability to lead a focused technical project team.



  • Experience of passenger car Aero-Acoustics
  • Experience of Water & Dirt Management
  • Experience of thermodynamics or related discipline
  • Experience of wind tunnel testing and/or conducting/interpreting CFD analyses.
