WHAT TO EXPECT

 

Emissions system integration engineers are responsible for delivering type 1 and Real Driving Emission testing to support calibration work package delivery. You will be responsible to understand the needs of the customers, Lead Engineers and Subject Matter Experts, and to develop and deliver a test plan to generate this data. As an Emissions System Integration engineer, you must also liaise with the chassis dyno team in order to request tests and raise issues with testing where appropriate.

You will be responsible for completing the first level assessment of all vehicle tests, before working with the customers to understand the impact calibration changes.

 

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

 

For this position, you will be responsible for reviewing and developing test plan requirements for the customer, managing multiple test properties simultaneously. You will help support the lead and system matter experts in the validation of calibration proposals and generation of validation packs. You will be playing an integral part in planning all vehicle testing activity, incorporating this into a high-level test request capture.

You shall support the attribute team with the creation and feedback of calibration methodology, processes, sign off procedures and definition of internal & external requirements. You will feedback any issues with testing to both the team and Chassis dyno test team.

 

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

 

Essential:

  • Experience of passenger car or medium duty combustion calibration delivery from development through to production

  • Detailed knowledge of combustion Calibration, Control and Systems/Hardware

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with proven experience of stakeholder management

  • Strong working knowledge of whole Vehicle and Powertrain Systems Integration

  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience preferred

 

Desirable:

  • Previous experience of leading technical team in a calibration environment

  • Project management experience

  • Good working knowledge of Calibration toolset; INCA, Matlab, Concerto, Creta
