Process Lead Engineer

Grade D, local Nitra

Salary:  From 2030 eur monthly, 0-15% yearly bonus, other benefits according JLR rules

 

OPPORTUNITY

ME BIW is currently involved with introduction of all new bodyshop projects and changes to existing facilities to support the JLR cycle plan as well as with current production support, control and continuous improvement. This role is responsible for the development and implementation of feasible, cost effective manufacturing solutions – From concept planning, through installation and into production, working closely with product Development Engineering and Plant to determine optimum solutions. The position will require travel to the engineering centres as well as placement at the manufacturing plants

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Development and installation of vehicle body assembly process & manufacturing systems, joining technologies, tooling and automation.

· Commission fixtures and processes to ensure optimum dimensional and cosmetic results.

· Lead multi-disciplinary teams in pursuit of complex technical solutions.

· Management of and liaison with suppliers and key stakeholders.

· Manage technical decision-making.

· Support the manufacturing teams with production scheduling and cost reduction activities.

· Analysis for manpower & capacity planning. Line balancing.

· Maximise equipment usage for achievement of project Capital Investment target and volume aspirations.

· Develop and lead quality maturation plans for new model introduction.

· Develop and lead cost-effective technical solutions.

· Represent Line Manager at senior events.

· Manage vendors in the achievement of KPI and Launch targets within the timing plan.

· Provide assembly process design and feasibility. Support resolution of manufacturing issues.

· Design process to meet HSE & Ergonomics requirements.

· Develop layout to accommodate production equipment.

· Manufacturing supporting documentation (PFMEA, Control Plan, GSPAS, Visual Management) and all other required items in the AME documentation handover Matrix (attachment)/AMEDoc0

· Proven project management experience in installation/commissioning programmes.

· Computer literacy – Microsoft pack, 3D softwates (ex. CATIA), 2D softwares (ex. AutoCAD);

· English proficiency to write, read and spea

 

Desirable: 

· Degree or equivalent in Engineering discipline.

· Experience of a Launch environment.

· Experience of certification processes.

· Experience of Vendor/Supplier management
