WHAT TO EXPECT

 

As the Scrum Master, the successful candidate will be working with Electrified Powertrain’s Advanced Engineering cross-functional squads to manage the successful design and development projects of Jaguar Land Rover’s high-performance next generation traction power electronics.

 

Key Accountabilities and Responsbilities 

 

Your key accountabilities and responsibilities will be to lead the scrum team in using Agile methodologies and scrum practices focusing on the creation of high-value product increments to achieve maximum customer satisfaction, guide and coach squad members in being and doing Agile focusing on value delivery, alignment, improvement, quality and teamwork. You will build positive collaboration with the Product Owners and Scrum Masters across group and domain, and establish, facilitate & participate in Agile ceremonies. You will oversee effective MBI, Stories and Task definition and Product Backlog management and ensure alignment across all workstreams and stakeholders feeding into the scaled agile framework-based engineering programs.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

 

Essential:

 

  • Highly motivated with a positive approach to challenges

  • Strength in communication, interpersonal and mentoring skills

  • Flexible with a pragmatic, servant leader mind-set. Confident to challenge the status quo whilst not impacting deliverables

  • Extensive experience of Agile framework with emphasis on Scrum. Knowledge of Kanban methodology can be advantageous

  • Experience with supporting backlog management and product owners in tools such as Confluence & JIRA.

  • Experienced at building effective cross-functional relationships with strong stakeholder management skills at all levels

  • Ability to support scrum members and teams with diverse knowledge and experience

  • Certified Scrum Master (e.g. CSM / SAFe)

  • Ability to articulate complex situations at all levels in the organisation

 

Desirable

 

  • Experience in a programme management role with the automotive, manufacturing or related industry

  • Strong track record of delivering product development projects with excellent problem-solving skills

  • Formal Project Management qualification e.g. PRINCE or other such recognised methodology

  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience preferred

  • Fundamental knowledge of JIRA
