Purchasing Manager Indirect Procurement

OPPORTUNITY
Join an established and dynamic Indirect Procurement team based in our plant in Nitra. Reporting to the Indirect Procurement Global Senior Purchasing Manager based in UK and matrix report to the Head of CEE. Within this role you will have responsibility for leading a team of buyers who are responsible for managing the Indirect goods and services contracts for Plant Nitra and JLR’s Budapest offices.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Team Leadership – Lead and inspire your team to deliver against QCDIS (Quality, Cost, Delivery, Innovation and Sustainability) objectives. Provide guidance and advice to be a more effective and efficient team. Building excellent internal stakeholder networks and relationships to deliver successful business outcomes. Lead the team to ensure compliance to JLR process and procedures.
· Indirect Goods and Services for Plant Nitra and Budapest Office: Accountability for Indirect goods and services contracts for Plant Nitra. Responsible for ensuring sourcing for value for money to the identified Quality, Timing, Capacity and Cost targets.
· Supplier Performance Management: Ensuring supplier performance to meet in-contract deliverables for JLR Quality, Cost, Delivery, Innovation and Sustainability (QCDIS) requirements.
· Cost Management: Ensuring effective cost management of your team’s categories and suppliers, which will involve sourcing to achieve value for money for the JLR business. Including annual scorecard deliverables for value add and hard savings.
· Strategy Category Plan – Develop Plant Nitra strategy category plans for a limited number of categories each year and gain alignment with your internal stakeholders for approval. Identifying further opportunities to localise the supply base where appropriate
CANDIDATE
Essential:
• Fluent in English.
• Excellent influencing and communication skills, able to communicate with integrity complex ideas to key stakeholders to gain internal alignment for sourcing and commercial agreements.
• Results driven, energetic and enthusiastic, leading the team to deliver excellent sourcing and commercial outcomes in a complex, dynamic environment.
• An effective team leader, who actively develops and supports team members growth.
• High level of flexibility and resilience.
• Drive with integrity compliance to JLR policies and procedures.
• Ideally experienced in Procurement or Supply Chain / Category Management for at least 5 years, with 2 years of people leadership.
Desirable:
• Degree qualified or equivalent experience.
• Automotive OEM or Automotive supply base experience is highly beneficial
• Candidates from FMCG and other neighbouring industries are welcome
