WHAT TO EXPECT
Noise Vibration and Harshness is acknowledged to be one of the key vehicle level attributes that supports premium brand positioning, and links directly to customer perceptions of the vehicle. Noise Vibration and Harshness is one of the defining DNA attributes for both Jaguar and Range Rover brands.
The delivery of the Road Noise Vibration and Harshness attribute is constantly progressing and as we introduce more Hybrid and Battery Electric vehicles this aspect is more important than ever. A good level of understanding of road noise mechanisms, especially structure borne, is therefore required for this role.
Product Engineering in Jaguar Land Rover needs a Road Noise Vibration and Harshness Specialist Project Engineer to support typical off-programme activities such as methods development, correlation support, process improvement, gap closing actions and prevent re-occurrence projects.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
In this role you will provide technical Road Noise Vibration and Harshness expertise for the planning and deployment of new methods, systems, or tools. You shall apply subject matter expertise to Jaguar Land Rovers new vehicles programs, contributing to continuous improvement activities within this domain. As a Project Engineer, you will be liaising on a regular basis with cross functional teams to ultimately cascade in new processes improvements and requirements. You shall be requested to undertake any other work as directed by line management in connection with job specifics.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
Essential:
Analytical skills and logical test planning to investigate and lead Road NVH methods improvement
NVH measurement and signal processing analysis experience
Be familiar with methods such as Transfer Path Analysis, modal analysis and other lab NVH measurements
Good reporting, recommendation and presentation skills
Ability to plan and lead specific activities cross functionally
Excellent team working and adaptability
Applicants should be educated to degree level
