Middlesex University

Description

Equality, diversity and inclusion are vital principles at Middlesex University. We value all our staff and students equally, and we firmly believe that the talents, skills, insights and experiences of our diverse community make us who we are.

We are a member of Advance HE's Race Equality Charter and we have signed up to the Race at Work Charter. We aspire to increasing diversity and inclusion at all levels in the University and a priority is to ensure that the University Executive are listening, learning and acting. Our Reverse Mentoring Framework is part of this process.

We are proud to have been ranked #12 out of 776 institutions for SDG5 Gender Equality in The Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2021, which assess universities against the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

We have also been awarded a Bronze Award by the Athena Swan Charter, which recognises that the University has a solid foundation for eliminating gender bias and developing an inclusive culture that values all staff.
