Social Work England is the specialist regulator for social work in England.
We believe in the power of collaboration and share a common goal with those we regulate—to protect the public, enable positive change and ultimately improve people’s lives. To help us deliver on that ambition we’re recruiting to several varied, challenging and rewarding roles that play a critical part in making a lasting difference to people and communities in England.
As these partner positions will play a key role in our fitness to practise functions, we’re looking for people with a broad range of backgrounds that represent the diverse communities we support.
This is your opportunity to be part of a unique organisation taking a new approach to regulating social workers in their vital roles.
Delivering safe and effective practice
Our partners help us make decisions at fitness to practise hearings should a concern be raised about a social worker’s professional conduct, competence or health. We will be looking for people with and without social work experience to chair hearing panels and be panel members. We will also be looking for legal advisers to listen to individual cases and provide independent legal advice to panels of decision makers and hearing participants.
If you’ve never considered this type of work before, please don’t let that stop you from applying. If you want to help shape effective social work practice in England, this is your opportunity. Our training and support will help you along the way.
